Abstract

One of the challenges inherent in treating uncommon hematologic malignancies is a dearth of molecular targets and randomized clinical trial data, and this can negatively influence clinical outcomes. In this chapter, we summarize current molecular insights and therapeutic approaches to a spectrum of rare myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms. The focus is on incorporation of hematopoietic cell transplantation into the treatment paradigm of each malignancy factoring in patient selection, timing, conditioning intensity, and benefit of autologous versus allogeneic transplant.
