High power quantum cascade lasers in the 3-12 micron wavelength range

Abstract

Average power levels of 850 mW have been demonstrated for individual quantum cascade lasers at room temperature, with continuous output power as high as 640 mW. Similar performance is demonstrated over a wide spectral range.
