Abstract
There are numerous applications for a device that can combine multiple laser beams into a single one. For example, a compact, high power ladar (laser radar) can be realized by combining the output of many diode lasers. Here, we demonstrate the basic features of a holographic device which has the potential to combine upto 20 laser beams into one high power output beam, with an efficiency close to 90%.
