Hyperthermia associated with chlorpromazine and full-sheet restraint

The authors report the case of a patient in whom the use of full-sheet restraint led to profound hyperpyrexia. Chlorpromazine appeared to be the only drug the patient had received that had the potential for harmful effects on thermoregulation. This association has not previously been recorded in humans.
