Abstract

In a high-resolution 40Ca(d,p)41Ca experiment a new l=1 transition has been unambiguously identified to a state at 3730 keV in 41Ca. Arguments are presented to show that this state has Jπ= 3 2su- and that it corresponds to the third 3 2- state predicted by Gerace and Green in their coexistence model calculations.
