Abstract

The immunomodulatory effects of Lentinan (LNT) werer studied. The resutls showed that diminished production of the splenocytes in immunosuppressed mice induced by cyclophosphamide was restored by LNT (0.5,1,2 mg·kg^-1δ^-1 x 5 d, ip). LNT (1 ~ 125 mg·L^-1) markedly enhanced Con A induced murine splenocyte proliferation and IL-2 production by murine splenocytes. Their concentration effect curves seem to be bell-shaped, suggesting that LNT have a dual immunomodulatory activity in a dose-dependent manner.
