In this article we discuss the impact of various neurological disorders on insomnia. We cover such disorders as migraine and headaches, cerebrovascular disease and stroke, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson disease, and multiple sclerosis. We also discuss the potential pathophysiology of this association and various treatment options.
