N2 - We investigate a non-cooperative interference canceling and power control (IC-PC) game in a Gaussian interference channel, where the receivers are able to process at most two codewords at a time. We characterize the equilibria of this game. As opposed to the pure power control game and the rate splitting game between the same players, we find that in the IC-PC game, there exist Nash equilibria where a player voluntarily reduces his power in order to enable interference canceling and achieve a higher rate.
