Abstract

Since 1976, dance writer, curator, and community educator Eva Yaa Asantewaa has contributed writing on dance in Dance Magazine, The Village Voice, SoHo Weekly News, Gay City News, The Dance Enthusiast, and Time Out New York, among many other publications. She blogs on the arts with dance as a specialty for InfiniteBody. She received a 2017 New York Bessie Award for Outstanding Service to the Field of Dance, as well as a 2017 Bessie Award as curator for skeleton architecture or the future of our worlds, an evening of performance that highlighted the power of Black women within community.
