Abstract
Human pectoralis muscle homogenate was found to contain both the A and B forms of monoamine oxidase. The monoamine oxidase in human skeletal muscle was found to be 90% type B and 10% type A. Thus, the specific activity of monoamine oxidase in muscle homogenates was higher for benzylamine than for serotonin.
