Abstract
The Third International Conference on Multiple Comparisons was held on August 5-7, 2002, in Bethesda, Maryland. Several articles with biopharmaceutical applications were presented and submitted for consideration to this special issue of the Journal of Biopharmaceutical Statistics. We provide an overview of the multiple comparison problems that are of current interest to the pharmaceutical industry, as well as an overview of the papers that appear in this special issue.
