Abstract
A logarithmic component of the resistance, magnetoresistance, and Hall effect was observed in a new superlattice system composed of semiconducting PbTe and semimetallic Bi. The behavior was consistent with the theoretical predictions for two-dimensional systems. It was found that the temperature dependence was dominated by the interaction effect, while the magnetic field dependence was mainly due to the localization effect.
