Low-coherence enhanced backscattering (LEBS) for colon cancer screening

We utilize LEBS to evaluate uninvolved mucosa in animal and human colon carcinogenesis. We demonstrate that LEBS has the potential to diagnose the earliest, histologically undetectable, precancerous alterations and may enable accurate screening without colonoscopy.
