Abstract

The squareness of Fe/Cr CMS hysteresis loops is discussed in terms of the temperature dependence of the coercivity and the anisotropy field. The magnetic moment of the Fe atoms is that of the bulk though the layers are thin enough to induce a surface anisotropy of 0.1 erg/cm2.
