Magnetization and sound velocity measurements near the antiferromagnetic transition in the heavy fermion system UPt3

Abstract

The heavy fermion superconductor UPt3 has a superconducting transition at 0.5 K and an antiferromagnetic transition at 5 K. We present measurements in the vicinity of the antiferromagnetic transition of both the sound velocity and magnetisation.
