Abstract
A three-dimensional mathematical model for cohesive soils is presented. It is based on the microplane concept, which consists of characterizing the constitutive material properties on planes (called microplanes) of various orientations, and then superimposing the contributions of all possible spatial directions to obtain the macroscopic behavior. -from Authors
