Abstract

Learning in museums has increasingly come to be characterized in terms of participatory and active engagement on the part of visitors. In this poster, we present a design prototype for an interactive art museum exhibit called MineArt. This exhibit allows visitors to create art pieces through modifications of famous artworks with folded notes as scaffolding and a postcard wall for critique and engagement. In this work, we hope to facilitate the meaning-making process of art by creating exhibits that incorporate audience participation and APE (active prolonged engagement).
