Abstract

An analysis of spectral efficiency in a multi-wavelength optical code-division multiple access network was performed. The study was performed using the dynamic threshold optimization and forward error correction. An increase in the spectrum utilization of multi-wavelength optical code division multiple access (MW-OCDMA) local area networks was achieved by combination of forward error correction and dynamic threshold optimization.
