Abstract
The modelling of high strain rate deformation of uranium-niobium alloys, using a thermodynamic approach was discussed. The framework of the model was used to present a phenomenological model, which includes nonlinear elasticity, crystal reorientation, porosity growth, plasticity and phase transformation. The model and the data were compared, for low strain rate loading and unloading.
