Abstract
A theoretical model for the electromagnetic field energy absorption (EFEA) in granular superconductors is considered. It is based on photon-assisted quasiparticle tunneling between different grains. This should be the dominant energy absorption mechanism if the electromagnetic field is concentrated on the grain boundaries. The above theory describes successfull recent EFEA experiments on granular TlBaCaCuO films.
