Abstract

We report a case of renal medullary fibroma that had low signal intensity in both short TR/short TE and long TR/long TE MR images. This appearance is typical (although not diagnostic) of densely collagenous, hypocellular lesions and is different from that of the usual renal malignancy; it should alert one to the possibility that a benign medullary fibroma is present.
