Multi-photon microscopy of deep tissue with gradient index lenses

Abstract

Gradient index lenses are shown to be effective for acquiring multi-photon images from millimeters to centimeters deep in anesthetized animals. We present in vivo two-photon images from layer V of mouse cortex.
