Abstract

In this paper, we have developed new methods for the transient analysis of structural dynamic problems. These methods are based on the frequency shifting technique and higher order elements: finite-wave, finite-spectral and finite-spectral-wave elements. Three numerical examples have been studied to evaluate the effectiveness of these methods. Results show these class of methods are quite suitable for higher frequency structural dynamic problems.
