Abstract

We consider incubation of nanodiamonds (NDs) in endothelial culture cells as a way to measure their temperature with sub-Kelvin sensitivity. We discuss limitations of ND temperature sensing in living cells, how to overcome the limitations and potential applications of such measurements.
