Abstract

NCRP Program Area Committee (PAC) 1 addresses fundamental issues on basic criteria, epidemiology, radiation biology, and risk with regard to radiation protection and measurements. PAC 1 has overseen the work of Scientific Committee 1-22, which produced a Commentary published in November 2014 and has four active committees working on reports or commentaries providing guidance to a number of U.S. government agencies in diverse areas, including effects of low dose and low energy radiations and space radiation.
