Abstract

Scattering-type near-field optical microscopy studies of deterministic aperiodic plasmonic structures demonstrates that quasi-static, near-field electromagnetic coupling in deterministic aperiodic arrays can be greatly enhanced with respect to perfectly correlated periodic systems.
