Abstract
The magnetic form factor of Tb3+ in the compound Tb(OH)3 has been measured with polarized neutrons. The experiment was performed on a single crystal in the ferromagnetically ordered state (8.9μB/Tb) at 2.6 °K. The theoretical form factor, calculated from a fully relativistic mixed-configuration solution of the Dirac-Fock equations, is found to be in excellent agreement with experiment.
