Numerical synthesis and analysis of elastic light-scattering microscope images

Abstract

We numerically synthesize elastic light-scattering microscope images using a combination of rigorous solution of Maxwell equations and diffraction theory to facilitate optical analysis of biological cells. We correlate subdiffractional cellular features with their scattering spectra.
