Abstract
Gastroesophageal reux disease (GERD) and Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) are common gastrointestinal disorders seen by both primary care physicians and gastroenterologists. GERD is estimated to affect 13%-29% of the U.S. population and recent estimates suggest the prevalence of EoE in adults to be 1 in 10, 000.1, 2 Both medical and dietary therapies are effective treatments for these conditions.3-8 This chapter will highlight the dietary approach to treating these disorders.
