Abstract

One of the least investigated aspects of thermal e. m. f. is the relationship it has to the dynamic phenomena in metal cutting operations, in particular to vibrations during cutting. An attempt to shed more light on these relationships based on comprehensive experimental investigations in a turning operation is described.
