Abstract

The readily accessible (Me5C5)2Sm and (Me5Cs)2Sm(THF)2 catalyze the hydroaminatton/cyclization of a variety of aminoolefins. Mechanistic observations suggest that the active catalysts are trivalent organo-samarium complexes.
