Abstract

The program of the FAA Center for Aviation System Reliability at Iowa State University and Northwestern University is presented. Aspects of approaches taken in selected topics including NDE reliability (Probability of Detection), eddy current probe characterization, thermal wave characterization of adhesive bonds, ultrasonic detection of hard-alpha in Titanium, and shearography are discussed.
