Abstract

This self-directed learning module highlights the documentation of acute, subacute, and chronic pain. As part of the chapter on pain in the Self-Directed Physiatric Education Program for practitioners and trainees in physical medicine and rehabilitation, this article contains sections on self- report tools, physical and functional tools, expert testimony, and medicolegal aspects.
