Abstract

This self-directed learning module highlights the assessment and management of common pain disorders. As part of the chapter on pain in the Self-Directed Physiatric Education Program for practitioners and trainees in physical medicine and rehabilitation, this article contains sections on assessment and management of chronic back pain, osteoarthritis, postamputation neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and sympathetically mediated arm pain.
