This chapter covers the anatomy, etiologic factors, pathophysiology, natural history, clinical features, diagnosis, and management of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). Surgical repair via left thoracotomy, median sternotomy, and minimally invasive techniques is also covered. special considerations regarding premature infants, children, and adults are listed. Percutaneous closure of PDA is covered in detail.
