Abstract

Optimization of the overall blast resistance of naval hulls made of composite materials relies on the ability of the structure to resist underwater explosion by energy dissipation. In this work, the performance of a composite solid panel is studied by numerical simulations, to estimate admissible loads and to capture dissipation mechanisms associated with the damage of the composite material.
