Abstract

The hormonal fluctuations characteristic of perimenopause are often associated with symptoms that significantly affect a woman's quality of life. Many therapeutic options are available to help manage the abnormal uterine bleeding, vasomotor symptoms (VMS), and mood and sleep disturbances, that may occur during perimenopause. New research into the benefits and safety of these therapies can help guide evidence-based treatment decisions for the care of perimenopausal women.
