Abstract

A procedure for preparing 14C-labelled half-generation Starburst® PAMAM dendrimers is described. Controlled incorporation of radioisotope was achieved by Michael additions of amines with 14C-labelled methyl acrylate, resulting in dendrimers with specific activities between 30 and 45 mCi/mmol in very high radiochemical purity.
