Abstract

Electrophysiologists generally accept the concept, as asserted by Prystowsky and Zipes, that "a direct relation exists between induction of ventricular tachycardia (VT) and the aggressiveness of the pacing methods used."1 We report a patient in whom VT was induced with single, but not with double, ventricular extrastimuli and discuss the possible mechanisms and implications of this phenomenon.
