Abstract

Research Prospective (RP) has been included as a new feature in the Strategic Management Journal (SMJ). The term has been used as a noun to demonstrate the journal's goal of promoting in an impactful way, along with the future direction of the strategic management field. SMJ will publish the new feature in the form of short articles that can generate and focus intellectually stimulating debate on strategic management research. The main objective of the journal is to advance the field of strategic management scholarship, providing a strong foundation for strategic management policy and practice. The Prospectives section will provide additional force in advancing the journal's objective by creating a forum for more open-ended discussions and reflections surrounding key concepts, empirical challenges, contextual differences, research methods, and other issues relating to substantial unanswered queries in current perspectives.
