Abstract

We examine electronic dissipative properties of layered superconductors when the dc magnetic field is applied. Assuming a tunneling nature of the c-axis transport that consists of Josephson (JT) and quasiparticle (QT) parts, the non-stationary processes are considered. We obtain that in whole temperature range below Tc, the damping of the Josephson plasma mode is significantly determined by both JT and QT. Also we find that influence of the applied dc magnetic field on the Josephson plasma frequency is limited because only JT component is suppressed, while QT remains unaffected.
