Abstract
Rubidium digadolinium copper tetrasulfide, RbGd2CuS4, crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Cmcm and is isostructural with KGd2CuS4. The structure has a three-dimensional tunnel framework, with tunnels built from GdS6 octahedra and CuS4 tetrahedra. These tunnels are filled with Rb atoms.
