Abstract

The Council of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research appointed an Ad Hoc Committee on Nomenclature and Standards for Bone Proteins and Growth factors, with the charge of recommending means of sorting out the confusing terminologies in this rapidly developing field. Their report follows. As Editor of Connective Tissue Research I recommend that authors adhere to these recomendations as closely as possible in preparing their manuscripts for submission to this journal.
