Abstract

Nothing stirs up more controversy than questioning the wisdom of the crowd. Leigh Thompson and Elizabeth Ruth Wilson review evidence from investigations conducted over decades around the globe that clearly indicate individuals are superior to their groups when it comes to idea generation, and suggest techniques and best practices for being highly creative in teams, and maintaining team-based organisations.
