Scintillation index for a temporally partially coherent, spherical wave light source in weak turbulence

Abstract

The scintillation index due to a spherical wave light source that has a finite coherence bandwidth is formulated in weak turbulence. It is found that in the limit of narrowband approximation, the averaging effect of the bandwidth on the scintillation index is the same as that for a plane wave.
