Abstract

An unexpected spatial arrangement of the ligands has been observed in the 1 : 1 complexes of [Rh(L)(NH3)2] with dibenzo[24]crown‐8 as well as dibenzo[30]crown‐10 (L = cyclooctadiene or norbornadiene). The ligands are sandwiched between the two benzene rings of the receptor molecule. The stabilization presumably arise, above all, from [NH…O] hydrogen bonding and other electrostatic interactions.
