Abstract

In METHODS, an error reported ferric ammonium citrate instead of ferric ammonium sulfate. The corrected sentence reads as follows: Silica and iron-loaded silica (silica-Fe) were prepared by washing Min-U-Sil in 1 N HCl for 1 h, agitating the particle in either H 2 O or 1,000 μM ferric ammonium sulfate for 1 h, centrifuging at 1,000 g for 10 min, washing in H 2 O, and dispersing into PBS at 20 mg/ml.
