Abstract
The zero-memory nonlinear (ZNL) filter is of fundamental importance in the analysis and optimization of more complex nonlinear systems. In this paper an inverse problem to the ZNL pre-filtering problem is treated. The general solution is simplified for a particular form of the filters. The method is illustrated by numerical examples to demonstrate the improvement in minimum-mean-squared error and to show the resulting filters' characteristics.
