Abstract

The three parts of Sichuan Triptych are cinematic essays on three major events of 2008 in China: the March uprisings, the May earthquake, and the August Olympics. Portraying how these events ripple into everyday life, the film focuses on three locations of Sichuan Province: Tagong, Qingchuan, and Renshou. Distributed by Rivers and Lakes Productions.
