Abstract
The effect of a scalar quantized control input on an otherwise linear, singularly perturbed control system is analyzed. The cases of open loop and closed loop control are studied. Analytical techniques are derived that allow the decoupling of such systems into fast and slow subsystems for analysis and design. The results of a numerical example are given to demonstrate these techniques.
